The rural economy in Zimbabwe

Land reform has radically transformed the rural economy in Zimbabwe. PLAAS (Institute for Poverty, Land and Agrarian Studies) has just launched a new series of films that explore the dynamic between land reform and economic activity in the country, focusing on three commodities: tobacco, beef and horticulture. The first film gives an overview of the series.

The films emerge from on-going work under the Space, Markets and Employment in Agricultural Development (SMEAD) project supported by DEGRP.
