You won’t help farmers in Africa by just throwing money at them

Cesar Revoredo-Giha unveils key findings from his DEGRP project on dairy farming in Malawi in a blog for The Conversation. He believes that "those who want to improve the sector need to look more closely at how the produce gets from the farm to the consumers' kitchens." And adds - that "if you don’t deal with problems in the supply chain, smallholder producers are unlikely to benefit from direct investments.
