This roundtable with Chief Alan Kyerematen, former Minister of Trade and Industry, Ghana, following his address to the UK Parliament, focuses on how developing countries can best trade themselves out of poverty, and the role of policy in facilitating this. Professor Xiaolan Fu, a DEGRP grant holder and Emily Jones of the University of Oxford also spoke at the event.

The roundtable was centred on sub-Saharan Africa, with a specific focus on Ghana, and aimed to address the full range of constraints to improved exports for growth, productivity and poverty reduction.
